It's amazing what these guys will admit to. They aren't the smartest bunch, granted, but don't our schools teach that you don't talk to reporters or cops without a lawyer?

Bob Ogden

Wow did ya'll see the latest story about the Texas Assistant Prosecutor that killed himself? He did not even show up! How can that be a law in Texas?
I call BS on this law! Just typing gets you put in Prison and life ruined...we live in a strange world.

Andy

Sounds like Bob Ogden is a pedophile.

That's right. Typing certain things - even if you are goofing off with no criminal intent - is a crime in some states and jurisdictions!

For example, if you type "I'm going to kill the President" you will very likely get a visit from the Secret Service and FBI. In all likelihood you will not be prosecuted, unless real intent can be proven.

On the other hand, if you type things of a sexual nature on certain blogs, especially "under-age" blogs, you can - and probably will be - prosecuted if the jurisdiction you live in takes an active interest. Perverted, deviant intent is presumed!!!

It's insane.

I have children and I'm not a pedophile. However, as far as I'm concerned Dateline's "To Catch A Predator" is bunk. It is a highly biased program.

I would like to read the IM transcripts.

Hey Andy, take a strong poison pill.

What i would really like to know is this...

Is this a lesson for adults that there are people out there who would want to have sex with minors? Or that minors now have the ability to interact and eventually meet with adults now that some parents have no control over what their children do?

I believe this is an IN YOUR FACE statement sent out by our government to begin convincing us that the internet has to be regulated.

So when the government wants to impose the soon to come "internet TAX" stating it will make the internet "safer" for our kids, all us happy americans will be glad to pay it..Right?..Lets just pay the government to protect our children instead of parenting ourselves.

wake up america! Chris Hansen isn't a HERO...He's a manipulating government tool..
