Oh, I've heard plenty of excuses from Hawkfans, none of them good. Try this excuse:

"Iowa State had the larger, faster, more disciplined team with the steadier quarterback and more tenacious defense."

Yeah, that one works for me!


Don't worry. Illinois will take care of business for the Big Ten by crushing Cal on Saturday.
