I don't have too much to say in detail about Wednesday's "American Idol" and Thursday's "Survivor: All-Stars" and "The Apprentice" because the little one's arrival kept me from concentrating fully on the shows. So all I have are some quick thoughts:
"American Idol": It was about time that Camille got booted. However, the fact that the other two in the bottom three were Jasmine and not Jon Peter Lewis and John Stevens suggests that we're in for more eliminations of female singers for a while.

"Survivor": Lex is an idiot, and Boston Rob is a treacherous snake. In a just world, Boston Rob would get booted by the rest of his former tribe, who if they had any brains would figure out that Boston Rob can't be trusted. On the other hand, there is poetic justice in the fact that Lex lost because (a) he foolishly trusted Boston Rob; and (b) he was in the position of needing to trust Boston Rob because he foolishly led the charge to vote out Colby and Ethan, possibly resulting in the lost immunity challenges.
By the way, I think Boston Rob's attempted defense of his treachery ("I told you I would save you if I could. It turns out I can't") was totally ridiculous. Of course he could have saved Lex by breaking one of his previous alliances. He just didn't want to.

"The Apprentice": That was a terrific episode! I especially liked how Trump's other key execs saw through Amy and Nick. Personally, I'd thought that Amy was a strong performer, but the execs who said that she had an "empty personality" and "meaningless words" were right on. And the same thing about those who noted that Nick was mostly a self-promoter.
The "twist" of bringing back the last six candidates to be fired as "employees" was typical Mark Burnett, but what was completely flabbergasting was the fact that Kwame went out of his way to select Omarosa as his second pick! While watching the episode, my wife wondered which team would win. I said that any team that had Omarosa had a serious liability, and events appear to have proven me right.
Regarding the Apprentice . . .
After the prior week's episode, I had had enough. I vowed (privately) not to watch any more. I see now that Prof. Althouse has taken a more public, yet similar stand.
The show either is too obviously scripted or is too poorly edited to be coherent. I find it increasingly implausible and devoid of the interesting "cases" that had originally given me hope.
Though I won't be watching it any more (and didn't see last night's episode), I'll continue to read the posts here and on Althouse (if she continues to post on it). From the outset, you all have been better than Burnett, imho.
