1) The Internet voting for this show is quite cumbersome, involving having to type in number/letter sequences for each vote (to stop spam-voting). But it probably leads to more accurate results than the "American Idol" method of letting speed dialers pile up votes for their favorites.
2) Bottom three tomorrow? Brandon, Heather, and Daphna. Predicting who will be booted is pointless, since the bottom three perform again tomorrow night.
UPDATE (7/27): Now that I think about it, Jessica (the one who looks like Buffy the Vampire Slayer) was pretty bad too. That's what happens when you have a thin voice and cover a song originally sung by Springsteen, and then remade by Natalie Merchant.
UPDATE (7/28): For thoughts on the result, go below the fold.
Two out of my original bottom three prediction were indeed in the bottom three, and the third was the one I singled out in my update: Heather, Daphna, and Jessica.
When it came time to singing INXS songs to save themselves, Heather and Daphna were both really bad, while Jessica was okay, making her clearly the best (least bad?) of the three. I still think Jessica has no chance to win -- she's just not right for INXS -- but at least she performed with energy and had control over her voice last night.
INXS agreed with me and told her she was safe. So who would be bumped?
In a shocker -- but a satisfying one -- both Heather and Daphna were booted! The rest of the contestants look shocked. Wow, anything can happen on this show!
Well, then again, we've seen this from producer Mark Burnett before; in season 2 of "The Apprentice," there was the episode where Maria and Wes both got fired.
I wonder how "Rock Star" is doing in the ratings. Is CBS encouraging Burnett to hurry up and end the run?
