"The Amazing Race" -- my prediction

Tonight is the 2 hour season finale of "The Amazing Race." Four teams are left: Colin (aka "Captain Intense") & Christie; Chip & Kim; Linda & Karen; and Brandon & Nicole. Thus far, C&C have been the strongest racers but have shown a severe lack of ability to handle stress. Chip & Kim got off to a rough start but in the last six or seven weeks or so have been very consistent, and they show the most appreciation of the gift of a trip around the world that the Race provides. Linda & Karen have done surprisingly well considering how poorly all-female teams have done in the past (no such team has placed higher than 5th, which L&K have already surpassed). Finally, Brandon & Nicole have raced reasonably well as a team, rarely getting into fights (other than over money in earlier legs).

I'd like to see Chip & Kim win, but giving C&C's dominance, I think the only way that will happen is if Captain Intense falls apart under another stressful situation. Can it happen twice in a row?

PS. On an unrelated note, has anyone else watched "LAX"? It's kind of like A&E's airline reality show ("Airplane," about Southwest Airlines) but with prettier people. I'm not sure if it's got staying power.

Wow, I think you watch a lot of TV.
Almost as much as me! :)

Sadly, I've had to cut down on some of my TV watching because my five month old son has enough head control to be able to turn and see the TV when we don't want him to. No TV for him until he's two years old, and only a little bit then. So any shows that are on before his bedtime have to be taped, and at some point, the hassle outweighs the joys from the show. So I may be down to: "Last Comic Standing," "The Amazing Race," "Lost," "Survivor," "The Apprentice," "CSI," and "Boston Legal."

Uh, I guess that still sounds like a lot.

LOL! Yeah, that was my plan, too.
But now my 14 month old can put in a Baby Einstein video on his own. It actually helps me out a lot because while I get ready in the morning, he's content to be dancing and playing and talking with the characters in the video.

One word: TiVo

WooHoo! Chip and Kim Win!!!!

What I liked about them is that Chip always took the high road. He never did anything out of malice. I wish them the best!

Denny Crain.
