CBS' "The Amazing Race": Ugly American incident no. 107

Yep, the obnoxious, xenophobic brothers uttered yet another stupid Ugly Americanism in describing Russians as the "angriest" people on the planet. According to these Albert Einsteins, it's the brutally cold weather that makes them angry.

Yeah, that'll just endear us to the rest of the world.

Meanwhile, I was quite bummed that the bowling moms finished in last, but felt better that it was a non-elimination round. However, the penalty for finishing last was that (a) they had to give up their leftover money; and (b) they get no money for the start of the next round.

On other fronts, Charla and Mirna are rapidly becoming this season's Zach and Flo. Well, not exactly; I mean, Mirna doesn't whine constantly and complain and refuse to go any further (only to be rescued) and then claim to have learned her lesson and resolve not to give up only to whine and complain again. However, it is the combination of one person worth rooting for and one worth rooting against even more.

At least I got to watch it, unlike "Last Comic Standing." I'm still bitter about that. Stupid John Kerry.
