Professor,

Yeah Baby!!!!! Praise the Lord!!! What a great-looking boy! I know how you feel, as I just had my first 4 months ago. Take a look:

Immediately before and after Emily was born - not graphic

Recent pictures of Emily

I just showed Stephanie and she sends along her congratulations TO YOUR WIFE!!! She just said that she knows how your wife feels right now, pain yet great happiness, and you finished your job a long time ago!! hahahha Seriously, thank God your baby is here and healthy. I am glad your worrying was for nothing. I'll bet you are every bit as proud of him as I am of Emily.

Best,

Brian Grayson

Congratulations! He's a beautiful boy. Looking forward to reading future blogs about parenthood.

Ms. Yu

BABY NICHOLAS! He looks REALLY BIG to me. Judging from his size I think he's going to increase the adverage height of all Asian population in Iowa for another 1%!

Congratulations once again. You are welcome for the flowers. We were all talking about the baby before class on Wednesday. There's some secret guessing going on in our class wondering when the big day would come. But don't tell them that I told you. I hope Amy's doing fine, she should be a happy mother now. 18.5 hours of labor, that seems like a lot of work to me.

Helen

Matt Rustler

Congratulations!

Let me pass on a good bit of advice that I recently received: Babies are not eggplants. They will not spoil if you hold them too long. ;-)

The Angry Clam

Congratulations!

Congratulations to you and your wife.

Mr. Powers

Congratulations. That kid's huge. The "conquerer" seems fitting. Don't worry about class - we've got it from here on out. :)

Joe Kristan

Congratulations!

I hope Nicholas doesn't give you too many opportunities to learn the art of the 3:00 am post. What a good looking kid!

Dan spencer

Congratulations! I am so happy for you and your wife. It's also good to see that Nicholas only has one head.

JCA

Congratulations to the entire Yin family!

Balasubramani

Congrats.

Andrew

Congratulations!

Jeff Findel

Congrats!

The new Mr. Yin looks like he's plotting his rise to the Supreme Court, or perhaps Apprentice 2028...

Jerry Stephens

Increasing Iowa City's asian population by one percent. Under ordinary circumstances that would be no big deal. But knowing his father. Now that's a truly frightening thought. Best of luck to you. Hope he takes after Amy.

I agree that young Nicholas at age 15 will not be bringing home young ladies to meet Dad (whoa Tung, that's you!). The way I see this playing out, Nicholas will excercise his teenage rebellion by matriculating at Cal Tech at age 15. So at that age, he'll be sneaking the ladies into his dorm room.

Congratulations to you and Amy. I know that you will be wonderful parents.

Roger

Congrats to your whole family! :)

Kim Jong Il

Oh, how cute!! He looks just like I do in my baby pictures!!!

jc

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am so happy for you. I believe in true rebellious fashion, I think young Mr. Nicholas has a future as a member of Stanford's class of 2026. But really, he's a beautiful boy. Best of luck and send Amy my regards.

Joe Clamon

Bob

is he registered to vote yet? * just curious*

Bob

woopsie, almost went to bed... CONGRATULATIONS to all! Is Nick Johnson the *godfather*... haha, just had to ask a silly question :)

Victoria Dixon

Congratulations! I came here having seen a Google news notice on your Red Cliffs/Romance of the Three Kingdoms comment and instead, I find little Guan Yu there! LOL What a wonderful addition to Iowa's Asian population. ;D
